Apart from the daily lives of the city… Change is the flavor of life and monotony a bane!! Everyone has a desire to stay away from this daily life and spend time in the grip of nature. Mumbai Pune offers a lot, but these places have been engulfed by overcrowding and getting famous over the past few years. There are so many unknown and unexplored destinations near Mumbai and Pune which have a lot more scenic and peaceful places that can leave you completely invigorated and recharged after a hectic summer?
Every year in monsoon I and my group explore new places near Mumbai Pune and this time, we visited a Adoshi dam. This spot is not famous as much as others dam. This place is least frequented, maybe even unexplored. But it should definitely be added to your bucket list this monsoon.
One of my friends got to know about this place, but he did not know exactly how we should visit that place. But we heard lots of things about this place from him which made us desperate and we all decided that we would go here. We researched a bit and asked some people to find out how to get there. Finally, we got to know how to get there.
This place is located away deep in the forest, not everyone can reach easily… But we wanted to go there anyhow. Some were not ready to take come but after convincing them, finally we decided that let’s go there…
A beautiful Adoshi dam is located about 89 Kilometres from Mumbai and 10 km from Khopoli. On July 21st July, 2018 Swapnil, Vicky, Vibhusha, Ashirwad, Suyog, Mithilesh, Abhishek, Nikhil, Sidhharth and I, gathered near Shivsena Bhavan around 7 AM in the Morning and reached Khopoli by 8.30 am by car, we left hunting our path without losing a minute. The road was very pathetic and hectic to reach, but the beauty of nature, greenery will definitely make your journey worth. We were away from the city’s traffic and as soon as we entered into the forest, chirping of birds thrilled us, making us neglect all our worries about searching the right path to locate the dam…When we start getting closer to the point, we started hearing a sound of dam we were looking for. We decide to follow the sound. And…Finally …we reached the spot. It took half an hour to reach the spot from Old Mumbai Pune highway.
Damn…the place was so amazing and peaceful… It was an adoring beauty in front of us!
We all were amazed how nature has blessed with this coastal city with so scenic beauty…What a place it was!
A completely unspoiled destination near Mumbai and Pune. This nature’s wonder is completely free of automobiles and Fills in as a heaven for the peace and peacefulness seekers. The Hills, heavy rain and mists, this paradise on Earth leaves you absolutely mesmerized. Undoubtedly you will fall for it forever. There is so much greenery which will calm your eyes, refresh your Mind.
We enjoyed in water for almost 2 hrs. We had some photo session and had carried lunch.
We were only 12 people on the dam. The advantage of this place is not known to many people and where you feel more of nature and less of people. There was a feeling of being in a different world.
However keep in mind that Lonavala is extremely crowded during monsoon weekends, you will get a lots of traffic to get there, so avoid weekends and enjoy this place without any surge! Just make sure to carry snakes, food or emergency medicines because there was no basis survive amenities nearby.
