When reality is better than your dreams– that’s the sentiment I got when I stepped into the breathtaking province of Mati – the village.
The increasing stress of today’s life makes everyone to get away from the crowded city life seeking a resort amidst peace and tranquilly. We were looking for a place to spend a relaxed weekend and we stumbled upon Mati, the village…we loved the concept of this resort and booked it for the weekend for 15 people.
Mati – The village, is located in Virar. We started our journey by late morning around 8.30. from Dadar. The sun was scorching hot and exhausting. We were keen on reaching the place sooner. We reached the location around 10.15 Am. As soon as we entered the property the soothing atmosphere and the vibrant colors took over all the tiredness.
The staff members welcomed me with a bright smile and took us for a small walk. The host explained us the concept of the property and surrounding attractions which made us feel at home.
Mati has a lot to offer for its visitors. The property features a wide range of facilities to make your stay a pleasant experience.
They have a spacious private pool which is enough for 15 – 20 people.
AC and Non Ac rooms –
Rooms are also spacious with big bathrooms. The rooms have attached roofs and concrete flooring. The woven bamboo sheets on ceilings help keep the room cool.
They also have a common hall with television, refrigerator, sofas and 3 beds to accommodate a complete group.
A terrace area above the caretaker’s house has a dining area with tables and chairs with a beautiful view of mountains and the countryside.
Traditional Maharashtrian style food was prepared by the caretaker’s wife. The food served on plates and bowls made of mud blends very well with the village concept of the property. The food includes both veg and non-veg options with breakfast, lunch and dinner servings.
Garden area –
This place has a large garden area and indoor gaming room where friends/families can spend time.
In fact, it is only one of the few pet friendly resorts around the region.
The property has enough space to park 4 to 5 cars.
Pool lights give a fascinating new dimension when the sun goes down, the place define the beauty of the village. Dance, music, friends, pool was a joyous evening ever, the cool breeze blowing, Sitting on the cot amidst the greenery, gossiping and rewinding back into those unforgettable memories.
The morning was a different experience with the mist covered grass and the red ball of the sun rising through the countryside bushes and banana plantations.
I felt blessed spending the time at Mati . It truly was a great place to visit and I would love to come back again. Stuffing with glorious elements that give rise into an exquisite paradise, Mati is the perfect place to catch up with your group of buds and unwind. Happy Weekend!
